Dave Fraser was a delight to work with on my patio cover. Dave was straightforward and honest. He answered all my questions thoroughly and then some, said what he would do and did what he said he’d do. The work was professional, clean and timely. He made sure I had the proper permits and followed through with the city for me when my time didn’t permit.

Later I asked him to collaborate with me on design of a non standard deck on my hillside and he has been a gem. To sit out on the deck and watch the wonders of the sunrise has been worth every dollar spent.

I would say Dave Fraser is the best in the business at a fair and reasonable price. I highly recommend him and his company.

My wife and I have hired Fraser Construction on two different occasions and both projects exceeded our expectations. The first was a backyard design then build and that turned out great. Second was a kitchen remodel that consisted of installing subway tile back splash, granite counter tops, and a farmhouse sink.

Not only were these jobs done quicker than expected, but all employees were professional and cooperative. I highly recommend Fraser Construction to every person that’s looking for an honest, reliable and reputable construction company.

We had over 5,000 linear feet of Trex decking and railing that had to be replaced under warranty due to manufacture defective material that had mold and flaking. As per the claim process, we had to use a certified Trex installer. We found Dave Fraser and his company, and were we ever lucky! Dave came out the very next day to meet with us and discuss the replacement process. He showed us photos of other projects he had completed so we would feel comfortable with his work which was a nice touch. He took photos and measurements of our existing decking to ensure we would obtain the exact replacement materials and quantities that would be needed for the upcoming job. He provided us with an estimated timeline, a total cost broken down into 3 payments. Dave worked directly with the vendor and the local supplier he would be using for delivery of all the replacement materials. He coordinated all deliveries personally, and he or a member of his team was always on site when a delivery was made.

During the entire process, Dave was always there to keep us informed of the progress and his team was always there promptly and ready to hit the ground running. Dave’s team to sum up in one word would be “awesome”! They were all very friendly, polite, competent and extremely professional. Anytime we came out to see anything, they would always take the time to stop and greet us. They always made sure that the area was cleaned up and safe before leaving for the day. There were a quite a few surprises discovered during the reconstruction related to the existing understructure that needed to be fixed before the new decking material could be put back down. He said that because these issues could not be seen and were not identified, he was not going to charge us anything over his original proposal for his crew to fix these framing issues! I have never met a contractor that would not try to pass these unforeseen obstacles off to the customer.

We would highly recommend Dave and his crew to anyone as they treat you like a friend and not just a client they are working for.

I hired Fraser Construction to complete 3 large projects at two properties:

1. A complete remodel of my front yard which included a full landscape design, a paver driveway, stairs and walkways, new hardscape, all new landscaping, outdoor lighting, and a rock riverbed.
2. A complete remodel of my back yard which included a full landscape design, new fencing, a concrete patio, outdoor lighting, all new landscaping, installation of a retaining wall, a built in BBQ Island in that retaining wall, and the addition of a balcony off the 2nd floor master bedroom which also serves as a patio cover.
3. A complete remodel of a relative’s house in Carlsbad including new kitchen cabinets, new granite countertops, a full master bathroom remodel including a tiled shower, shower door, tile flooring, new vanity, and mirror and a new vanity and lighting in the guest bathroom, removal of popcorn ceiling with the addition of can lights, painting and flooring throughout the home, and removal of drop ceiling boxes in 2 bathrooms and kitchen all replaced with can lights.

In all three projects, Dave and his crew were prompt, courteous, worked cleanly, and produced terrific outcomes at a very competitive price. One of the main reasons for going with Dave in subsequent projects is that he is extremely responsive, honest, and flexible. His customer service skills are without equal. I cannot recommend Dave and his company enough! I am now working on the plans for a 4th project for him to do at my home!

I recommend Fraser Construction without qualification. They were all very knowledgeable, prompt and easy to work with. The finished product was as described and we are very pleased with it.

We hired Fraser Construction to fully replace the fence surrounding our property. Dealing with Dave Fraser was a pleasure throughout the project. He had to coordinate preferences from our neighbors on both sides who share the fence, and deal with their issues including their attached gates and other physical structures. He kept everyone happy, and was responsive to all. We met before starting to make sure all concerns and particulars were clear, and he kept us apprised at each step of any aspects that arose. When completed, he again made sure all details were to our satisfaction, and quickly addressed the few minor requests we made. We would without hesitation use him again and recommend his company.

My wrap around deck is beautiful and the interior design and interior remodeling is equally attractive. I am especially grateful to Fraser construction for the way they coordinated work with the other trades and the special attention to detail and services to me, the home owner as I continued to live in the home during construction.
